Your Happiness

Contributed by Xion_alXar on Friday, 2nd April 2004 @ 08:32:18 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I cannot take this longing,
For the want of knowing,
Whether you like me or not.
In many ways I sought,
The answer but no,
In no way could I know.
I have antoher longing as well,
A longing to feel,
You wrapped in my arms,
Safe from all earthly harms.
You may not know,
And you certainly don't show,
How beautiful you truly are.
Your smile can be seen from afar,
Because it is so bright,
It blacks out the light.
Your sadness makes me cry,
And your happiness makes me fly.
You question me,
When I say I like you I see.
You shouldn't though,
Of all people you,
Should know that I would not,
Say things like that before I sought,
To see how true they are.
I'm not for sure how far,
This emotion will go but just ask,
And I'll take upon myself the task,
Of putting my emotions behind a wall.
I cannot guarantee that the wall won't fall,
But I can try if that is your wish.
I don't want to hoarde your beauty and be selfish,
I just want you to have happiness,
And get over all your saddness.
Even if that means me going away,
If it means your happiness it will be okay.
