Along The Waters Edge

I sat along the waters edge
on a beautiful moonlit night
all alone, gazing out onto the sea
with the moon shining bright
in all it's magnificent glory
and glistening stars scattered
across the evening sky
The ocean was calm and peaceful
a glass top embedded with diamonds
so utterly beautiful and tranquil
caught in the splendor of the moment
In awe of the beauty of God's creation
as I watched the clouds roll by
amazed by His constant rearranging
of the evening sky right before my eyes
Giving Him all the praise and glory
thanking Him for all the blessings
that I have so abundantly received
enriching my life with a wonderful family
I was enveloped in a warm sensation
realizing all the while I sat along
the waters edge, gazing out to sea
I was in the presence of God's company
