When the time comes to say, "good-bye"
I lose a little part of me each time
counting the hours until we're together
feeling like a lovesick teenager
In love for the very first time
writing down my feelings in rhymes
listening to love songs on the stereo
with scented candles to comfort my soul
Twirling my hair between my fingers
inhaling the scent of your cologne that lingers
from your shirt that I refuse to wash as of yet
other corny things I've done since we've met
Daydreaming of you without realizing
I'm wearing such a big smile
letting everyone around me know
this woman is in love ... and it shows
