"FROM PILATE TO HEROD
AND BACK AGAIN!"
Fully reviewing the case, Pilate releases Jesus.
Pilate says, "I find no crime in this man," with briskness!
Pilate finds Jesus is a Galilean, so he finds a
way to get out of being responsible.
Ruler of Galilee, Herod Antipas is very evil!
He beheaded John the Baptizer, he is also cruel!
Frightened, Herod thinks Jesus is John
resurrected and may cause trouble!!!
Seeing Jesus, Herod is overjoyed, at the prospect!
He is not interested in Jesus' welfare nor respect!
Hoping to see Jesus perform a miracle....
He is simply curious, he could care less if Jesus is truthful.
Jesus refuses to satisfy Herod's curiosity!
Herod questions him, he remains silent meekly.
Herod and his soldiers mock him, poking fun.
Returning him to Pilate, without judging action!
When Jesus returns, Pilate calls the Jewish Priests.
Also, the False Jewish Leaders and people, all beasts!
"You brought this man to me for causing revolt among the people.
Now, neither Herod nor I can find him quilty,soulful!"
"I shall therefore chastise him and release Him!"
Twice now, Pilate says he is innocent, 'tis a whim!
A note is sent from his wife telling to let him go free!
"I had a bad dream about this man, she relates.
"Perhaps Divine convey?"
Yet, being Governor, how can Pilate release an
innocent man as he knows he should?
Impressed by Jesus demeanor and innocence,
Pilate thinks of another way to salve his conscience...
"You people have a custom, that I should release a man to you at Passover?"
Barabbras a notorious murderer, law breaker!
"Which of these men do you want me to release to you?
Barabbras, the murderer, or Jesus the so called Christ,
What do you want me to do?"
Persuaded by the False Priests who stir them up...
They scream, "Kill Jesus, and release Barabbras!!!" no toss up!
"What then should I do with this Jesus?" replies Pilate in dismay!
He well knows that Jesus is innocent, they shout:
"Kill Him! Kill Him! Kill Him!--Hurrah!"
Pleading now, "Why? What bad thing did this man do?"
"I will therefore chastise him, and release him to you!"
Enraged is the crowd, egged on by the False Religious Leaders
They want Jesus' Blood, they are Groaners!
Pilate seeing how his appeals are doing no good....
Washes his hands in front of the crowd,
"I am innocent of this man's blood, I would release him if I could!"
Wanting to satisfy the crowd, rather than do
what he knows is right...
Pilate releases the murderer, and takes Jesus to be flogged, bound tight!
The Journal of the American Medical Association
Describes the Roman Scourging:
The usual instrument was a short whip of
several single braided leather thongs.
Small iron balls and sharp pieces of sheep bones inserted belongs.
The victims back was repeatedly struck with full force.
The iron balls cause deep contustions to endorse.
Sheep bones cut into the skin, and subcutaneous tissues!
As the flogging continues, the lacerations will bruise......
These tear into he underlying skeletal muscles.
Producing quivering ribbons of bleeding flesh like wrinkles.
After this torturous beating, Jesus is called into the Palace,
There the soldiers heap more abuse upon
him, and more cruelness.
Braiding a crown of thorns they pushed it hard upon his head!
A reed was placed in his right hand, a purple garment.
denoting Royalty they said.....
Remember now Jesus has been up all night,
with very little rest.
Then they mock him, "Good Day You King of the Jews!"
they sing with zest!
Taking the sturdy reed from his hands....
They hit him on the crown of thorns driving it
in his scalp as he stands!!!
So impressed with Jesus remarkable strength and dignity...
Pilate once again brings him out to the crowd, crudely.
Pilate is thinking that possibly his tortured condtion
will soften their hearts?
"Look I bring him outside to you again, I find
no fault to impart!"
Pilate proclaims, '"LOOK THE MAN!"
Though bruised and battered, here stands the most
outstanding figure of all history!
Truly this man Jesus has proven to be the
Greatest Man, no mystery!
His quiet dignity and calm even Pilate must
acknowledge as Greatness!
For Pilate's words are apparently mingled of
both respect, and pity as he knows he is flawless!
This ends Part three.............
Next part Four will be"
"HANDED OVER AND LEAD AWAY!"

Wow, where did you get those pictures? They're wonderful.....
Great write. You know, I was reading Luke 22-23 just the other day. Coincidence? Or funky Providence? =) lol
