losing my mind

Contributed by lostinmyself on Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 12:59:10 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I feel like I'm losing my mind,
flashes of happier times holding my brain,
beating it, as my eyes slowly tear,
from the hurt of invisible pain.

Laughter drowns out the noise of my heart,
beating as if it will bust.
And the people all around me laugh,
as I cry in the middle of the floor,
and the people I trust just walk away,
leaving me here to cry, to die
while the faces tell me to get a grip.

'Leave me alone!' I cry!
While my trust slowly slips away....

Goodness girl, you are scraping your soul and writing your best stuff. I am impressed.

i feel like this in school alot. i hate that feeling, where you're just lost in sheer darkness. you can always talk to me, if you need any one to talk to.

this is a greatly expressed poem. thanks for sharing it.
