Forgotten Friendship

Contributed by StarSpark on Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 12:37:20 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

one day we danced under the golden sun
cherished life because we were one
together we stood
best friends for ever
upon next year it started the same
but soon i was left out from your selfish game
i backed away and made new friends
you got mad and called it ends.
i havent seen you now for a year
if only i'd heard the message you left
one little thing could change the future
but now we're alone, never together
you have changed and not for the better
you look down at people like me, who be themselves for all to see
your scared to show what your really like,
people like you should take a hike

goodbye to you, goodbye to me, another forgotten memory

if he looks down at people who are being themselves and not being anyone other then who they are then i don't think he was good for you to begin with...friends are fine..but only in times of distance will you truly notice them for who they are. closure is as good as friend as any.
