No matter how hard I have tried

Contributed by ADReamWithinADream on Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 12:19:09 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

No matter how hard I have tried
You remain only a friend
When you left I died
I feel my love for you shall never end
You are so sweet and kind
I have NEVER met anyone like you
I must leave my love behind
I KNOW this will BE SO hard to do
For you see, I have tried countless times to let go
But YOU are the kindest soul I ever did know
So you are my friend, my brother, my helper and nothing more
I cannot make you feel what you do not
I will keep my love in store
For someone else, for going on like this I cannot
I must be happy with what I have, for I have so much
And I must wait untill another will touch
My heart as you have, I'm just tired of waiting
And every night I am begging
God to send me someone who will show me love
Or send me another Angel from above
For the one he sent is'nt interested in me
But that is allright, for good memories
Are still in my mind's eye, so clearly can I see
Them, that they set me at ease
