Death is Welcome

Suicide

images in my head,
of death, destruction, and decay.
cut open again,
I can feel the knife
sink into my skin,
as life drips away.
Pounding in my brain,
the dead arise,
and bring to the streets
the odor of blood.
I can see the pain!
You have no effect on me!
You can kill all you want!
It means nothing to me,
death is welcome!
Have you ever wanted to kill?
Have you ever really lived?
My mind is gone again.
Did I ever have one in the first place?
They talk to me,
but I won't listen.
Death arrives again,
showing me the way.
Sanctuary in pain,
death when insane,
I can't stand my brain,
people actually think I'm sane?
You have no effect on me!
You can kill all you want!
It means nothing to me,
DEATH IS WELCOME!

Wow, that is quite powerful. Reminds me of a time when I was also struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. Just hope you're doing much better these days. |
