I often question why me
You often ask why not
With this brings a hatred of people
Which is only eclipsed, by a love of their innocence

Reminds me of Deana Carter's song, "Strawberry Wine":
Is it really him/ or the loss of my innocence/ I've been missin' so much?/
I like it. Lots of thought went into this one. Great poem.

Oh, I love the last line. Accepting our own reality can be the hardest thing. How well I know that. You have put all that in 4 well-written lines. Fantastic.
