Lost Inside Myself

Contributed by kidpoet_213 on Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 02:16:52 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Here I am... alone again... lost inside myself
Knocking at the door of life... feeling like a little child lost
Roaming free... wandering... through a cold dark night...as if it were another place... another time
Dare to dream of what this life could bring
Sorrow... pain... and suffering seem to have been my lot thus far
But in this dream... a hug... maybe... could soothe this ache inside
But I don't know...
For this little child shouldn't have to walk alone
Won't God bless the child... 'cause there's something missing in her life?
A little hope... a reason to believe... is all she needs to make life complete

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

Still... I am alive... on my journey through life... with a cracked mirror called time
Trying to take the time to live... to live one day at a time
But with every move I make... with every step I take in the game of life
I find myself living in my own private living Hell
Wondering every now and then... forever again
How can I mend this broken heart?
While living on broken promises... empty dreams
In my palace depression... as I cry silent tears... tears of shame
I can feel the rain in my heart... falling like the mist of a waterfall crashing all around

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

For just a moment... one moment in time
I wish I could go for a long walk home in the summer sun
With my angel... my friend at my side
The one who is my secret wind... my special friend
Truly a special someone
Back to the country... we would go
Back where I belong... beyond the pictures of my life that have been shown
Back to the old memories that are my legacy and are held so dear
Where red roses are in bloom... with the beauty that lives deep within
To just fish for the secrets of wisdom in the vast pond of life

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

I'm on the edge of spinning out of control
While wondering through this shipwreck called life into the realm of cold reality... suicide
Crying out for someone to care... for someone to just love me... for someone to just be there
While I'm livin' on the edge through the storms of life
Cutting away the pain of this lonely heart
And suddenly... I find that I'm living on borrowed time
But for me... as I'm crying Heaven frozen tears... it's heartbreak time again
For this moment until the end of time... I'm taking no chances
When you speak to me with those beautiful eyes
Please don't ever say goodbye

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

For I am the old woman
What a sweet, sweet lady am I?
In a blink of an eye... one brief moment in time
I'm carrying the fourth rose...in my gnarled old hand
But I've just gotta let you know... babe...before I go... what matters to my heart the most
The gift... the simple chain of love
That brings out the best inside of me
When I look through your eyes... the eyes of love
I see hope's light shining from above

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

The perfect poet that I am... who is so uniquely me has the heart of a poet's soul
It's just the who I am... and want to be... maybe nothing more than you already see
I just write my lil' poem... for you all to read
'Cause you inspire me... yes, you do
You are an angel in my life
You're the inspiration... the heart and soul of my poetry

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

I seemed to be falling off the edge of love...somewhere I don't want to be
I want to fly high to touch the edge of paradise
I am an eagle with a broken wing... my angel of love is carrying me on wings rising to heights above...
That are so amazing to me
So...maybe it's time... to take a step into eternity... where the love never ends
Where our hearts are given another chance to mend
As we gaze at our footprints in the sand...

I'm just lost inside myself... floating inside a dream
Wondering what is reality...

The reality is: to figure out... where the dreams start and where they end...

Very easy to like this though many subtleties of introversion to unravel.
