Between midnight and a quarter to three
Shadows dance in futile homage to some lost god, some forgotten thing
Life stirs, an incessant whir of beings begun in love and striving for more
finding only misery along their way
Finding that love becomes some lost god, some forgotten thing
Between midnight and a quarter to three.
