Full of softness, moulding to my touch
I cling to it, and bring it near.
The smell is sweet...and as I clutch
it tightly, it becomes damp with my tear.
Afraid to toss it aside, I let it dry my cheek,
and hold my head as you might do.
But, now the tear's become a flowing creek,
because my pillow, isn't you.

Really well written poem, has a very nice flow to it. Short and sweet; but gets the message across. |
