AGONY

"AGONY!"

From beginning to end, a story of "Agony!"
A man they called Jesus, without a friend.
A commission lovingly, with agonizing pain
Willingly died for all mankind, so inhumane!

On "Death Row" yet innocent, an illustration:
For "Murderers" he died, plus all earthman.
Was he aware of what would happen soon?
Definitely, imminent death, others would impugn?

Praying, while his apostles slept in the garden
Intense Pressure, "Oh, Please Dear Father in Heaven,
The reproach this will being upon your name!
Please remove this cup, your reputation, shame?

Upon his brow, sweat mixed with blood, his vow!
Under extreme pressure and stress, a truth allow.
"Hematidrosis, or Diapedesis, medical terms used today.
Blood vessels surface, mix with his sweat's passway.

His agony they sensed, but did not understand.
His followers could not fathom, not preplanned?
After his death, memories backward-hindsight,
Enligthened integrity, his steps followed upright.......

An eye for an eye, his Father's law did state:
Our lives lost, a perfect man Adam, not straight!
According to the law, a perfect man must replace.
Only One, Jesus, no others found, his love embrace.

Awakened by the mob, and sudden loud noise,
Whipping out his sword, protective Peter destroys.
Head was his aim, missing, an ear lopped off instead!
Immediately Jesus heals the ear, little bloodshed.

"Live by sword, die with same"" Jesus exclaimed.
"Kiss of death" identifying him, Judas lovingly claimed.
Jesus goes obediently, no resistance, nor defense,
4000 year old Prophecies must be fulfilled, commence........

TAKEN TO ANNAS
THEN TO CAIAPHAS (High Priests of the Jews)

Bound as a common criminal
Before Annas who is very careful.....
Former High Priest of Jewish Order
Questions, hoping to find a blunder!

"Why do you Question me?" Jesus says
"I speak the truth, no lies I spread!"

Jesus is then slapped in the face.
"You speak to the High Priest to deface?"
"If I spoke wrongly, bring witnesses."
"Why do you slap me?" he chances!

Caiaphas, is Annas son-in-law.
Also the High Priest to draw.
Assembling the 71 member High Court.
An Unlawful Court, before Passover Extort!

Witnesses must be found to testify.
No one steps forth, they all deny.
The witnesses that testify all lie!
Jesus silent, he knows he will soon die!

Caipahas, knows Jews are senstive:
"Are you the Son of God, you captive?
Blasphemy! are you the Son of God?"
Courageously Jesus replies, "I am no fraud!"

Dramatically ripping his outer garment!
Caiphas declares, "We need no witnesses
Did you hear his statement?"
The Court shouts, "He is liable to death!"
"Herd mentality" increases,
they scream 'til out of breath!

They slapped his face and spit on him!!!
Beating him with their fists, it's grim!
Illegal, abusive behavior occurs during this nighttime trial!
Jesus himself a Jew, but good, not cruel.

Jesus is a good Jew, these Apostate Jews are bad!
Jews today should not be blamed 'tis sad!
All religions have evil apostates, and good!
Why should the Good be blamed and shamed?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This ends Part One of this Series
Tomorrow Part Two..........
'DENIALS IN THE COURTYARD!"
While the Apostate Jewish Court decides his fate.
Jesus is sent to the courtyard, where his own apostles berate!
They deny him, and now he has no friend.
It's just He and His Heavenly Father to the end!
No other man could have undergone the
suffering of this Man, because He was God!
I felt His suffering through this poem, although I really could not fully understand
His pain.
Wonderful poem. Just wonderful!
Excellent telling of an age old tale of agony undergone by our Saviour for our benefit. We must be very special for him to die for us. I will be awaiting the following piece.
Love,
Rita
Consue,
I had to put my hand to my mouth when I read this. I could picture it all so very clearly. More clearly than ever before. I've got to take it slow to read the rest. This is moving stuff.
