Dear God

Topic: Lifepoems

Dear god
Last night I cried
I can’t believe she died
You took her away from me
There is nothing left for me
As far as I can see
She was my life
My past and my present
She was the reason I awoke
Each morning with a smile on my face
Last night I cried
And a part of me died
I know she is in a better place
But I can’t Help but want to see her face
Dear god
Will you please do something for me?
I know you are busy
But please keep a close eye on her
Make sure she looks both ways
Before crossing the streets of heaven
And she has a habit of not eating her peas
I know this sounds Sealy
But please God do this for me
And she likes the cat in the hat
Green eggs and ham
Every night before bed
Please let her know there are no monsters under her bed
Before you turn out the lights and make sure there a night light
She is still scared of the dark!
Make sure she knows I love her
And I’m sorry for the bad things I’ve done
I’m sorry for giving her up
That was the worst mistake of my life
Please God Make sure she knows about me
And tell her I was her biggest fan
Amen
