Her End

Suicide

Moonbeams dance across the water
Silence fills the air
The balmy winds hold the secret
Of Memories she can't share
Forbidden places and misguided words
Hold her to her state
So long abandoned
So far forgotten
She fears it is her fate
Brick by brick
And stone by stone
She built up all her walls
Dreams of having wings unfurled
Each time the darkness calls
If only she could let them in
If only she could see
If only someone shared the burden
Maybe she'd be free
The Marsh is covered with a sadness
It's waters kiss her feet
The knife gleams shiny in the moonlight
On its blade her end she'll meet...
