Loneliness

Contributed by WalkingWithDeath on Tuesday, 30th March 2004 @ 06:37:19 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Alone once again
Loneliness has become my inevitable path

Alone I roam these dark halls, wishing for the times when I was in your arms…
All that is gone now…the past
I have no future
My present I would exchange for death

Why am I constantly being left alone?
Alone in this barbaric world
No one to listen to, no one to talk to,
Not even a long forgotten ghost

Left alone with only my thoughts,
These thoughts that have devoured my sanity,
I sit alone in this dark house,
Insanity my only friend…the only thing that I can count on to always be there

I see darkened figures staring at me,
Pointing fingers, whispering…
Soon they to shall leave…

I have forsaken myself…
Nothing now can save me from my lonely fate

I can relate to this poem in many ways but sometimes I think that my destiny is being alone with no one there. Only Time Will Tell.....
