Night and day to work this machine,
An effort to turn back the dial,
Reverse the motion of these clock's hands,
And return to face life's trial.
To change the cause,
That affects the effects you face now,
You have to go it alone,
Cause time travel is lonely.
We make our future,
And in a sense, it makes us,
Forever changing we are,
And so is future's truss.
Present life just holds us back,
They won't let us run,
But to me, time is just a fact,
That states the end will come.
Because,
To make a difference,
In the life and world we face now,
You have to go it alone,
Cause time travel is lonely.
The new year waits,
For this to end,
And sunday's best calls,
"For what reason?"
So seize the day by it's extending light,
And resist routine by traveling time,
And hold the sun upon your palm,
Forget to take turns, don't wait in line.
Since,
Life doesn't go along by date,
No one tosses you a bone,
To get ahead and change this fate,
You have to go it alone,
Cause time travel is lonely,
And you are all alone,
You're all alone...
And time travel is lonely,
But where can you go,
When you're all alone?

Everyone is indeed ultimately lonely as we make our way through time but perhasp that does not mean we cannot congregate amongst lone souls... tiem travel is lonely by you are perhasp not doing it alone. I am a lonely soul but I do not travel alone it is possible perhaps..but enough of that.
A very thoughful write. Nice and soulful too. |
