Will you remember?

Contributed by lowman613 on Tuesday, 30th March 2004 @ 02:44:35 PM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

I hold you, I love you,
Will you remember that when your grown?
I kiss you & hug you,
Is my love forever shown?
I bandage your cuts, wipe away the tear,
Will you know this when your older,
I'm by your side, and always here,
and I let you cry on my shoulder,
I stay up late when your sick in bed,
making you feel well again,
will you know this in the years ahead?
Appreciate me in the end!
Will you really remember who that angel was then,
comforting your every need & loving you,
It was your mother time & again,
Doing what I was sent to do!

Christina, they will and you will see it when you watch them parent their own children in years to come. While you are loving and caring for them they are learning to do the same for their own.

Rainbows,
Rita

Christina, we always seem to remember that stuff... too late, but we remember. This is a great poem, and I'm sure the kiddies will love it too. They will remember..

Christina, I am sure they will remember. Kids never forget anything. I do the exact same things for mine as you do with yours. Very well written. *S* Cynthia
