Silent now lying still
inside this box of wood.
Although my life was horrible
at least my death was good.
I laid awake so many nights
dreaming of this day;
a chance to earn my angel wings
and fly myself away.
Through random beatings sure and hard
I taught my self to hate.
And though I tried so hard to love
my loving came to late.
If only I could start again
from sinless infancy,
perhaps then I could try to find
the things I failed to see.
But now I must compose myself
within my wooden bed.
There is no chance at life again
for surely I am dead.

I totally enjoyed this poem, and can relate. Very strong message. It's always darkest before the storm, or so they say. Sometimes you wonder......
