Abandonment

Contributed by desireemiote on Tuesday, 30th March 2004 @ 09:46:55 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Loneliness
Of the worst sort
A cold where warmth is present
An ice covering a wounded heart
The wound keeps on tearing
As he stares into my eyes
He says it's been over
He didn't reject me
He liked the company
Still he loves me
Or at least he says
But another has taken him
Whisked him away
He asks
Why not both
He won't choose one
This life of mine crumbling
My everything
My being
Is him
When you lose your being
You are nothing
So what am I
I've lost in so many ways
But not completely
He's still there
Do I still have my being
Am I nothing
Maybe nothing is better
But everything
I desire back
Unhealthy known
No care of that knowledge
As I prepare to plead
I am my own death
On my knees

This is a Demon I know. Check out my "Demon." The sooner you can become yourself and break free the better off you will be. This is good stuff. You have captured these feelings with depth.
