"AFTER FIFTY YEARS!"
Friends are so dear,
even after 50 years.
N'er seen each other
Only on-line whisper.
"June reunion is here
I'll drop by dear?"
"Okey dokey see you!"
'Tis only for review? *smiles*
This is what he's expecting?
Knock at my door.
Dogs barking uproar!
Matters not to me.
He's a man, likes pretty.....
We stand, "Shockeroo Day!"
Laughing hearts, survey.
Kindness was his friend.
Beard of white pretend.
This is what he got!
"Your hair is short,
like a man distort!"
"Inside it's me though!
Old body, It's Me, Hello?"
Dear friends sit, relate.
"Pick you up about eight?"
"An old Poop, I'll show!"
Long blonde wig grow!
Glorified Whore-fun.
He came, enter "Stun!"
Pants weren't dry,
"Depends" I'll buy!
Memory making time
50 years a lifetime!
Who else? He's a dear.
Honest, no veneer
Older, humor galore
Comfy, no pretend door.
Real Rich, fulfill?
Dreams, in his will? (teehee)

"The wig still shakes me up
in my dreams!
Gad, what a hag!"

LOL... still laughing as I try to write this comment... my dad loved it... he laughed all the way thru... so did I... maybe an old classmate of mine and I can do that in another 30 years or so... I'll be about 57 by then lol...
Great humorous poem LOVED IT dear.

Ahh yess.. the joys of reenlivened friendship. I had a shock abou ttwo years back similar to your but younger in time... I was back at my family home for RAYA PUASA...a religious holiday...when I got a call which state simply.."hello..Hazlan...are you home for raya?? yess!!! wait there were coming" I was of mixed feelings who are they the police...a death squad??? I thought my world conquering and war-mongering past is catching up woth me. BUt what do you expect who turned up but five of my closest friends from childhood. What a shock what a pleasure. Thank you for this poem ....it brought sweet blips of memories in the radar that I used to monitor my heart, it being kept far away in a vault in an undisclosed location.
As alwasy you are a pleasure to read...and an honor to know. Great great write! |
