After Bath

Contributed by merry on Monday, 29th March 2004 @ 12:00:08 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Tepid water in the bath
Lingering scent of roses
Drift in steamy aftermath
Of where we might be
Or could have been
Indulging senses
Stuck on certain words
You said last night
Avoiding truth until the end
Disruptive forces in my head
Stir up lust
Long thought dead
Embers burning bright within
Ignited feelings in my head
With hope that love
Is so much more
Than mundane plans
And daily chores
Promise me you are the one
A love to make my world complete

A poem full of longing. I like the bath motive it is something I can emote with. I often lie in my bath and dream of past and the future and what it will bring. Thanks a lot from bernard.

Oh how I relate to this ... the hopefulness, the insecurity, the longing, the wishing ... a poem that touches my heart and prays that you find what you are searching for ... hugs Jan

Sounds like you and I are on the same path again. Some things take a long time to die. We learn so much from the experience though. More good stuff, as always.
