Ogres have the best ideas.

Contributed by Yodo on Sunday, 28th March 2004 @ 11:58:59 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

There lived upon a mossy hill
An ogre and a troll.
It was their job, forevermore
To climb the hill and roll

They'd tumble down and climb back up
Then start all over again.
And every few years, they'd take a break
From their forever spin.

Upon one of these random breaks
Said the ogre to the troll
If after another hundred years of this
And it is getting droll
Whatsay you to stopping this
And learning how to bowl?

At this the Troll became irate
And being short of brains,
Called down from a cloudy sky
Great torential rains.

The ground became somewhat slick
And soon picked up the wind
And down slipped the troll and ogre
To start again their spin.

Ha ha ha ha very funny write indeed.. I had a good laugh and enjoyed it. This reminds me of the "Ogre's Choice"...something from my AD& D days. A halfling is caught by an ogre and the ogre gives him a choice.. boiled in water or barbacued over fire? can't remember the ending though.... but it was as hilarious as your write..ha ha ha ha...Great write!

p.s. Who was that guy punished by the Olympian Gods to roll up a rock on to a hill and then roll it down again day in day out?? similar lines it seem.
