She came to town so silent, her demeanor it was cool
Outside of town she smiled and sat beside a crystal pool
And from her lips a song she sang, that held a mystic air
It told an old, old story that took place so far from there
It was of a humble maiden and the man she cared about
They loved each other deeply, and couldn't live without
One day he had to leave his dear, but a promise he did make
He would return to her someday no matter what was at stake
She waited many months but still no word did come of him
She didn't talk nor eat, she was already dead within
So much sadness did she have she took her life that day
The bard then stopped and looked around, no more words did she say
She stood and left without a sound as coolly as she came
But since that day that little town has never been the same!
