warriors struggle

My father up in heaven
Touch my soul
Touch my life
Make me strong
Make me wise
hold my spirit up fill me with your light
Give me the strength to fight in this darkness
I refuse to lose
I will not give up
I will survive in this cold dark world
I will fight with every little string of my strength
I will fight with every little power in me
I will not give up
I will stand victorious
I will not lose
I will climb the mountain
I will not drown
I am your warrior my king
I will fight
Never will I give in

But seems like the higher I climb the longer the mountain gets
Seems like the more I fight the more they come
Seems like the more I hope the less I have anything to hope for
Seems like the more I strive for light the darker it gets
depths to be lights
Moving from life to life
No end is there for me

Good work.

I guess we're all warriors of some sort, fighting from one day to the next.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
