'MY POETRY PLACE'
Creases in my brain, lapped over space.
Lightening fast, 'tis "My Poetry Place."
Rising early before day awakes.
Brain storms erupt, memory earthquakes!
Unconscious, half asleep, drowsy alert.
Streak lightening flashes poetic insert.
Paradise of poems with lines of rhyme
Never repeated, strikes once for all time.
"Tis never familiar words I've ever known
Bright brilliance, splendorous transparency.
Kindling sparks flare, illuminating electricity!
Like a thief in the night, unknown, "Sneaky!"
Taught by experience, with each new flash
Grasping my pencil and pad I quickly dash!
A word, a sentence, not even a rhyme,
Notes later reviewed in quietude!
"Tis like a 'Miracle in side a Miracle" our
wondrous brain!
Stores memories, feelings, hopes, dreams retain.
Buried deep sadness, rarely called, suppressed.
Discerning hearts of love, affirm, suggest.
Blessed I feel, with "My Poetry Place."
Is it real? My mind's a packed suitcase.
Poems found with abundant enlightenment

I envy you your "Poetry Place" It must be a very nice place to spawn such a smattering of gentle and wondrous poetic progeny. Mine is more elusive oftimes...though at times it is a torrent unstoppable. As always a great write!
you are quite right indeed some poems just leaps at you sometimes out of nowhere...while others you have to painstakingly assemble from fragments of thoughts in a jumble pile.

Yes, isn't it just like that?!
When the words come, you'd better have a pen and paper handy. I'm always writing poetry at 70 mph on my way to work. If I have an accident, I'll die happy.
