My heart is aflame with tears of shame
Words too hard to explain the heartache... the pain
Trying to keep my dark secret hidden with lies
Trying to keep it from family and friends
Burying it deep within my heart alive
What happened to cause such a foul thing you may ask?
I thought it was dead... buried deep within my past
There's a big hole in my heart... a void inside
Where no love... no pain or even hatred survives
I tried to fool my eyes with my reassuring lies
But I couldn't fool my heart...
It's been broken... burned... torn apart so many times
Shattered... twisted remains trampled upon... bloodstained
Life has not been the same since that day...
All I trusted... cared about... a child of innocences lost...
Stolen... torn away in an instant... life... a memory distant
I've lived in fear... all these years... quietly suffering in shame
Cultivating a secret so damning... so heartbreaking...
No one will ever know or understand my pain
Never a life of ease... won't get any easier for me

wow twisted... coming from something simular i hope it gets better for you. abuse is a cowardly act, just realize that no matter what, dont let them break who you are...be better then them. then it will get easier my friend. if you ever need to talk to anyone or anything, please never hesitate... i have simular war stories and i made it out alive and untainted. ;) peace and gods speed. with love

It is something that can never be forgotten, but some joy can still be found in life over time. I am glad more awareness has come about over recent years, unfortunately for some it is far too late.
