Thousands Of Last Words

Contributed by bro on Saturday, 27th March 2004 @ 03:42:37 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

red rags of pain stain the rain
that falls down on my head
while i'm thinking of you
in the emptiness of this world
with no reason but to love you

a love that is not known
by his own heart.....
only if he had grown
to realize that he was not old enough
from the start...
to get into the depth of things
that made him realize what love really was...

his family... her family... but still... one family...
its hard to know
that shes still out there
after all that weve gon through
a summer that was wished to never end
a winter that splintered his heart
a splinter that pierced hers

his words... too young... too sad...
too... this... too that...
something... anything...
that would make it go away...
the pain of wanting to be with her...
of knowing it wouldnt work...
of wishing it would...
of knowing it could...
but it cant... not now... but later...

the sorryness of his words...
not coming not out of his heart...
not coming out of his brain...
but his very soul...

not the past... not the present
but the future...
which holds the truth...
of the very insides of the ruth-
less mind... held in that scull
so thick... so dense...
but still pierced by her...
looks... character...
her everything...

unexplainable thoughts...
brought out in a single burst
of wanting her to understand
whats really going on in his hands
in his head of solid hatred
of knowing that only the future
can hold the truth...
that only the future
can hold their hearts
together at long last

but until then
the love in the name of friendship
is the only thing
that will save
the very mind... soul... heart...
from being crushed
by the lack of a title
...friend...boyfriend...girlfriend..

but not only
does a title give a connection
but so does the connection
of two hearts...
of two minds...
two bodies...

so thus... the disconnection
title
shal be connected
once again...
in one hand...
in one mind...
in one future...
til the end of time...

TO BE CONTINUED...

Welcome,
I agree with Kie. Great for a first poem.
Isn't it strange that in our pain we turn to writing poetry.
Keep up the good work.
Luv, huggs,
emy
