Softly Spoken, Like A Whisper

Softly spoken, a catch in a voice from afar,
that finds the listening ear, exactly where you are.
A whisper at times, that barely can be heard
finding it's own way, creeping deeper inward.
The breath felt, as it settles on your cheek
as it travels over miles, you know it's yours to keep.
It's warm, you swear...so close that you can feel
some magical inner sense, making it feel real.
Words shared, thoughts that may at times over power,
as love and dreams, bring you closer to tomorrow.
Time, distance....has been erased, you are both in one place,
that softly spoken voice, almost brings you face to face.
A moment, an hour...there is no concept of time
as you listen to your hearts, feel emotions climb,
reaching the tallest peak as actual words you now hear,
softly spoken like a whisper..."Yes, I love you dear.
