the end

Contributed by pinkashes on Saturday, 27th March 2004 @ 02:41:10 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

she passes from street to street
through the days through the nights
through the seasons
watching her life
confusion and heartache
nightmares become reality
she pases from corner to corner
compromising her belifes
to survive in this world
one more step one more breath
in a place that is unfair
all she wants is to rest
i watched as she passed my window
as she passed for the last time
every new burden she carries is heavier
her heart is close to mine
i still think about that girl
never allowed to grow up
brown hair, blue eyes
she is in the worst place to be, she is stuck
always traveling from city to city
but never finding rest
never finding home
always deserving the best
but things did not work out that way
and so she lingers on
never knowing what tomarrow will bring
or when she will be gone
i wish things were different
i hope someday they will be
i want her to understand
the beauty of being me
i want her to be freed
from the pain that she feels
i want her to always follow her heart
cry no more tears
i have endured so much
so many endless miles traveled
i want to find rest
i want to finish fighting the battle

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
