The moon is on fire tonight –
The gods must have had a long fight.
Humans, undecided what side to take
Look at the battle and try sense to make
Of this ancient war
That has opened to Hades the door.
I look upon the dead and dying,
Some are cursing, some are crying,
Lamenting those who killed in rage –
Add to this timeless story another page.
The burning moon inspires me tonight,
Makes me wish I could take flight
And land upon its lonely body
And let its flames consume my body,
Destroy the pain of this lost love
That’s now a raven but once was a dove.
Tonight I look upon the moon
And can only think of gloom,
For nothing inspires me tonight
But the hero who’s lost his might
And, leaning on his broken sword,
Utters the unspoken word.

reminds me of that saying..A dream that is not interpreted is like a letter that has not been opened.
thats a deep dream alright, but a moving poem. Loved it.
