actress

Topic: oops

So here I am on the stage again
Hanging here off the page again
Mask over mask
Absorbed in my task
I shout, I kiss, I stare
I hurt, I laugh, do you care?
No, of course not.
You are the audience,
cold and dark.
Scanning the floor
I pick out remarks:
So there she is on the stage again
Clinging there to her page again
Masks crack apart
As she fails at her task
Do we care as we stare
Whilst her heart stops
And starts?
No, we're the audience,
We don't know what to do
How do we react
When we ain't got a clue?
