Price of Peace

Price of Peace

Lost on sight within my mind
(Forthcoming memories)
Caught up within this fight
The battle started yet not the war
Since the world had begun
Yet won't end till the world is over
The battle rages yet not the war
The war is fought inside our hearts

If war is the price of peace
Then I can't give up the very least
I'll stand up against the best
I'll fight them till the very last
Peace in all its wonder
Is the glory in the honor
Fallen are the heroes slained
Yet aren't forgotten with the tainted
Stained are the ones who run away

Forgotten are the reasons why
The battle has begun and not the war
Starts with the turmoil and then the war
(Negotiotiations on hold)

The world only knows
What it is told
Lost on sight within my mind
(Everyone loses despite)
Realization hits in the dead of awakening
Takes your breath away to this very day
When memories fade the feeling stays
Once around the world again
The battle raging taking the hopeless
(Hope you've been forgiven)
Honor stood and fell for the taking

The war hasn't begun, yet its overdue
The war of the nations is coming soon
Where no one will escape the world ending
Invasions of the nations
Every last drop of blood taken
Countries's fabrics to be torn
(Peace never to be reborn)
Do we wage battle to prepare for war?
Heaven and Hell shall combine
It happens after the nations divide
Time has hidden the answers
(That everything is taken away)
War takes everything for
(A peaceful ending never to be)

Very interesting and vivid. And yes, war is the cost of peace! Amen!

This could almost be a riposte to one of my poems Peace Over War [www.your-poetry.com].

Or vice-versa.

Still a solid piece of work--even if I don't agree with the idea behind it.
