Its been one year since you left us behind
One year since that horrific night
One dreadful mistake
Left us here with you gone away
One Christmas that Santa didn’t leave you anything under the tree
You were all good boys
But Santa doesn’t make stops in heaven
The tree, I am sure, looked bare without your gifts
One New Year’s rung in with out you
Your girlfriends didn’t get their midnight kiss
It wasn’t a really cheerful new year for you families from what I have heard
Why did it have to happen?
The sun rose and the sun set without you here
How dare life continue on
Made me so angry
But I know I had to continue on.
From your seat in heaven you cheer us on
It would feel much better to have you here
But you’re happy where you are
It’s been one year. Let it not happen another time.

awww what a beautifully heartfelt poem, these lines made me cry;
"The sun rose and the sun set without you here/How dare life continue on"
its like suspended animation for so long after they are gone, im so sorry for your loss, i know they would love this poem, and will always be in your heart, big hugs n' much love to you, nessa
