There is no reason it has to be like this.
Why can't we say "I'm sorry" and just kiss?
My stomach is in knots and its hard to smile.
I haven't seen you in quite awhile.
I think about what I should do.
I feel so hurt and its because of you.
How can I punish someone I love so dear?
I can't, for my heart will be broken, I fear.
So I'll wait for you to see how I feel.
Until then I'll forgive and just learn how to deal.
I'll go on thinking everything is just fine.
A game of choices love is, I just hope you are mine.
I'll keep myself from causing you so much grief.
The nagging and bitching I'll blow away like a leaf.
Smiles and looks of love is all that you'll see.
I just really hope you'll love the real me.
I guess its too much to ask to want to see you.
I thought we have fun in all that we do.
Maybe its not me you are avoiding.
I need to stop my feelings from showing.
I need to be strong and let things go.
Its easy to say but hard to let my heart know.
Sometimes I feel that my heart beats for you.
But then I am hurt and I know that is not true.
You are the love of my life and always will be.
I will try and lighten up and let you be free.
But know that I am here and always will be yours.
I just wish spending time with me was less like a chore.
