SOME FOLKS

selfstruggles

Some folks never get beyond
my wild streak, long and wide.
So consequently fail to see,
the gentle man inside.
Some folks never see the man,
woven in this rhyme.
I know they could, if they would,
only take the time.
Some folks view the way I live,
and think: "The man's insane."
Then pretend, to be my friend.
For a chance to mine my golden vien.
Some folks, think they have me pegged,
after just one glance.
Then get hot, when they find they're not,
my master in lifes mental dance.
Some folks don't appreciate
what I give of me.
It is my Lords commandment.
that I obey so happily.
Still, some folks never get beyond,
my wild streak, long and wide.
some folks through life stumble on.
I'm trying to reach my stride.

Intriguing poem, very well written, with a clear message. One which I shall bear in mind . . .
Thanks for sharing. |

*Bravo!*
Some folks are like that, thankfully not all.
People often take advantage of niceness, or peg us to be whomever they think we are and they assume alot.
I liked this poem alot as well.
