Please forgive me for what I do not say,
And for which I do not speak.
Please still trust me in the morning,
When the sky is blue and bleak.
Please understand I can’t interfere
In what is going on tonight,
I know that you are trusting me,
But they say it isn’t right.
They say to mind my business,
And my heart breaks for you,
But in the morning still come to me,
And please tell me what to do.
Should I try to intervene
Where I know I should,
I know that you’re the child here,
But you know I’d help you if I could.
Please forgive me for what I do not say,
And for which I do not speak,
Please trust me in the morning,
When your eyes are cold and bleak.

omg jen this really is so powerfully written, i have chills up and done my spine, my heart really goes out to these kids because they are so helpless, this poem should be published and also on abuse sites, bless your heart, hugs n' love nessa
