Don't make me bruise and bleed.
Don't bring these tears into my eyes
Or act so selfishly.
Please tonight just show me
Why it is that I still stay--
Regardless of the way I'm treated,
Why I've never run away.
Please tonight don't drink a thing
Or raise your hand to me,
Tonight at least, can we coexist
In peaceful harmony?
