my candlelight flame'

Topic: Nostalgic

You run through my dreams every now and then
where are you now, do you still write by candlelight
as we sit at unknown ends, are we deeply in thought
of one another anymore at the same time?
~*~
Those whispering benches were so magical so
springtime like, so real, life was full, all was beauty
then, so long ago, is your flame still burning on midnight
oil of creativity, love and song?
~*~
Laughter shared will never be forgotten, we went
through so much you and i, laughing until we cried and
crying until we had no other option but to laugh, watching
our children become individuals,
~*~
So where are you now my friend, my old companion,
one misbegotten misunderstood word and a hurt feeling
or three and you were the one who went out for soup
and never returned to her saying you,
~*~
Would be right back, but you never did, i thought of you
today, i was going to call but i no longer have your number
because life got in the way and the puppy ate the book,
but every now and then you run through my heart,
~*~
Your eyes always ever so bright unless you were asleep
and then so was i and so it didnt matter, like yodeling
naked from the balcony in philly, so many things we did like
makinglove on a bag of kibble, made me smile,
~*~
Passions flames once graced our lips, held spellbound by your
fingertips when south street was alive, captivated, breathtakingly
so in love, wanting more, anywhere i would have flown with
you my dove, and then some,
~*~
You run through my soul every now and then
where are you now, do you still write by candlelight
as we sit at unknown ends, are we deeply in thought
of one another anymore at the same time?

That is beautiful, I sat and wondered about one in mine as well, and now I pray the one you think of does you that justice and is paying homage to you. Great poem. Thank you.

This brought tears to my eyes because it was so filled with your heart. It is hard to lose someone because even though they aren't in your life your mind and heart still wants them. I haven't figured out how you delete the memories or even if its possible. It is sort of an age old question wondering if you cross the others mind. Loved this one Nessa and thought it was brilliant. OOO I love this one. It reminded me of old times when people write on parchement with feather quills by candlelight. So mysterious and hauntingly beautiful. I love it. Keep of the good writing!

I am in awe of this poem. You have great talent, you express your emotions so well.I loved every verse of this poem,I'm stunned as well,I would say more than your poem is beautiful, but I don't think it's necessary considering the beauty contained in it is far from any words I could ever use to describe it.Beautiful, absolutely beautiful-
