A New Day, A New Knife

Contributed by JTS on Thursday, 25th March 2004 @ 01:16:57 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Yet again my hearts dearest has hurt me again. Her simple gestures she use to make no longer mean anything. Her body, once which was mine, has been seen by the world. She makes no effort to hide this fact. She continues to ruin her reputation by her addiction. No more is she pure of heart or body. Forever now she is known as tainted, a lair, and conceded. Her companions cloud her judgments; her parents are blinded by their own addictions taking no actions to repair their broken child, and her mind corrupted by society and lust. The angel I once knew was pure of heart and her soul was clean. None of her actions surprise me now. My feelings used and abused by her selfish acts. Always knowing my love will be strong. I am her emotional outlet to express her thoughts and mistakes to. By her side I stand while she collapses underneath the pressure. My helpful acts are all in vain for she does not see the errors of her mistakes. I know the only way to heal her is to leave her. My “friends,” my dear so called “friends,” know of my pain for the hurtful things she has done. Yet, they open old wounds and create new ones; never letting them fully scar. They swear to me they understand my burden and my reasons to stay by her side; again with their lies, and while fueling their own lusts and addictions they plant a new knife in my back. A new day, a new knife; a new day another turn of the blade. How do I continue on with this ongoing onslaught for pain? I do not know the answer to my own problems yet to others I am aware. Why must my questions not be answered? I believe it was Shakespeare that once said, “It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.” Obviously, he never met my executioner.
