THE TRUTH OF IT ALL

Contributed by Coaster on Thursday, 25th March 2004 @ 01:09:06 AM in AEST
Topic: war

Welcome to the worlds dark side
Where people once happy have to hide
Askin’ myself why there’s so much war
People always dying in fear, what’s it good for?
Children crying, running for their lives
Your never to you to know what life strives
Mothers voice screams as you hear her cries
As she looks at her dead son she yells, “lies lies”
As a soldier shoots a protester in the head
Kicks him once to make sure he’s dead
The father of three, the husband of one
Fighting for the future of his unborn son

ALL I WANT IS NO ****** WAR
IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?
TOO MUCH HATRED, TOO MUCH SADNESS
STAND FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE, SHOW YOUR MADNESS

As the tears of hate fill your eyes
The screams of sadness fill your cries
Sounds of bombs never seem right
The darkness of black will fill the night
Some people believed that death is sweet
Have to realize, death’s no feat
Words of wisdom, you will win
Stand for what you believe, defeat the sin

ALL I WANT IS NO ****** WAR
IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR?
TOO MUCH HATRED, TOO MUCH SADNESS
STAND FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE, SHOW YOUR MADNESS
