Now I know it's meant to be
That the darkness lives in me
With everything I do and say
The darkness always finds a way
I feel it deep within my soul
A feeling I just can’t control
The darkness knows what I won’t show
And I will never let that go
Days spent under blackened lights
All colors are far from sight
Can you see behind my eyes?
Do you dare to look inside?
The one who sees what’s hidden well
Will take my heart but never tell
Loving me for all I am
Though darkness has the upper hand
Even on the brightest day
I’d settle for a cloudy day
Now I know it's meant to be
That the darkness lives in me
