The Cowardly Twinkle

Contributed by norm on Wednesday, 24th March 2004 @ 07:22:21 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Poets, poets, it's not me,
Who chopped down the cherry tree.
If I did, I tell you true
I would lie, you can be shu.

Poets, poets, it's not I,
Flying 'cross the Paris sky.
Bourget airport was the place,
Lucky Lindy was the ace.

Poets, Poets, T'was not me,
Toured the Alps by sled and ski.
If you think I did the slopes,
I'd think you are a bunch of dopes.

Poets, Poets, T'was not I,
Climbed Mount Everest, not this guy.
If I did my name would be,
synonymous with bravery.

Poets, Poets, now you know,
Why some say I'm just a schmo.
I told you every hairy fact,
T'was always courage that I lacked.

Poet's Poet's listen to me
I know this schmo pretty well
He's been married for quite a spell (over 50)
Has one son who reports in the news
wins lots of great reviews and medals too!
Another son who repairs people hearts
through surgery.........
Now I ask you all who will listen......
If you don't think all that took bravery.......
then you're simply not up to the word!
Webster's will you tell you the whole truth
I loved your Brave Poem Norm
No coward 'twil you ever be!
consue
