The happiness you convey
Catches me off guard
And I step back, afraid
To feel such intense emotion
Love is blind, deaf, dumb and stupid
I want no part of it
Can we simply say
What is on our minds
Share a special bond
As we find our way to each other
A new brand of innocence
I do not want to lose it
This feeling of joyousness
And smiling when I hear your name
Knowing that you think of me
Let’s not spoil it with that word – love
Which proves false and lame
Let me lie down beside you
In the green grass and clover
Watch the sunset and clouds roll
That is good enough for me

That last image just took me away. I suddenly want to run home and lie in the grass with my kids and look up at the sky. I know that's not exactly what this is about, but the image is so tantalizing.
