she is banished to the autumn garden

Contributed by gothicangel on Wednesday, 24th March 2004 @ 01:16:34 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I`m sensing silent wind
rushing past,
while grabbing
a part of me in its leap
Drenched with doubt
I stare upon the nothing,
as I swiftly leave for its keep

Though I surely could live
without a useless part,
I`m waiting for a vacant seat
in the Autumn garden
where we all
will be sent to join
among lifeless, lonely ones
where our hearts won`t burst
and break so soon

Leaves are fallen
and they whisper before me
Without a movement by lips,
weary, they cry,
as the fall from their mother-branch
has wounded the sky

So lonely spinster, mother bright
I beg you to soak some sleep
this night
So your strength can keep up
with this sorrowly sight
of bursting hearts, breaking still
in the corner of my broken windowsill

Wonderful translation of imagery in this poem!

Good combination of rhymed verse and free verse.

Jolly Good Show!
