To Where

Grief
|
Living lives to die a mournful erato,
Habitual love to cry a scornful virbrato,
Subliminal hatred hides among our conscious,
And terminal boredom strives to kill the cautious.
To where does a wondering road lead,
A cul-de-sac dead ends at misery,
and to what does a blind man sing,
A satirical song for the deaf to leave.
Arising spirits to pry a lifeless body,
A futile corpse to lie and die rotting,
Contagious perjury decays the soul,
And infectious diesease delays life's goal.
But to where does a rolling river flow,
A drowning stream ends where the sea will show,
And to whom does a young child call to,
When he the water will consume.
A lone character in his lonely novel,
To drown among his story's drizzle,
He let the river flow wild,
He let the roads go defiled,
And now he faces such grief and pain,
For today's decisions open,
To tommorow's disdain.

Alright, so I'm here at the direction of that forum I started =) I'll have to say that I totally agree. This is an amazing poem that must have taken a heck of a lot of time to pen. I'm surprised too that it's gone under the radar. But never the less, it's amazing. The line "For today's decisions open to tomorrow's disdain" is such an amazing line, I couldn't believe what I was reading. A really remarkable peice, I'm glad I took the time to read it =)
Good luck in the future with the whole comments thang ; )
God bless,
Ellen |
