Blurred sense of Beauty

Speaking of my burning eyes,
my spectacles of beauty and horror.
Plagued by this opposition of this outer view.
Beauty in mere terms of Ex versus Internal.
Are these eyes deceiving?
Although what has been given,
a blurred mystery of decency.
I must retain some composure,
although these lies I proclaim deceive me.
I mustn't allow jealousy to provoke my raging matter.
Continue I must, through this trudge of quicksand,
ever sinking remains of this mortal.
For why have I been given infinite chances?
How much longer will my eyes view beauty?
I can already sense these very eyes
burning a hole in my mind.

A heartfelt poem. The title reminded me of my own poem "Blurred Innocence'. :) |

It's beautiful. I think your use of words really captures the emotion, i think, you were trying to describe. I felt involved in the poem, and felt i had to read it a few more times. Keep it up and dont ever change your style of writing. It's pure. |
