PRETTY ORANGE POPPY FLOWERS

Contributed by Rous on Tuesday, 23rd March 2004 @ 11:10:54 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I have little poppy flowers
Pretty little orange flowers
They are so pretty on my table
They make me feel good
I don’t feel so well right now
My life is not what I thought it would be
Things are out of my control
And I feel outside the loop
However, I have little poppy flowers
Pretty little orange flowers
They are so pretty on my table
If I pick them up, and taste them
They will make me feel better
Enough of them will make my life easier
But, do I want to pick the poppy flowers
If I do, I will miss my other flowers
I will never see them blossom as they should
My absence will affect their growth
The gardener that I am will not see them grow
And mature into full form
It comes down to the orange poppy flowers
Or the rest of my garden
I put the pretty orange poppy flowers back on my table
I choose to watch the other flowers grow
But I can’t help feel that the rest of the garden could care less

01-28-01s
(The garden did not care, but they are growing and blooming beautifully.)
