A Mere Thank You

Contributed by suzy on Wednesday, 18th September 2002 @ 04:49:56 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

You’ve put a smile on this face again
Helped to ease all of the tears and pain
Lifted my spirits and brightened my day
So I wanted to take the time just to say thanks

Thank you for helping me to get through
I’m sure this is coming as a shock to you
You probably weren’t even really aware
That you helped me to get from here to there

Just a simple act of kindness on your part
Went such a long way and touched my heart
I’m thankful there are hearts like yours around
Because if it weren’t for you I would still be down

My skies are once again turning to blue
And the only person I can thank for that is you
I just thought you should know what you’ve done
Thank you once again for bringing back my sun.

Lasca,
Never doubt the "greatness" of this poem...or the strength you've found within yourself. I'm so pleased the sun is shining again for you. Days won't always be bright...we all manage to somehow slip and fall back...but hope does spring eternal when we have someone to fall back on.

I'm going to post this poem on my site...unless, of course, you tell me differently. It's warm and wonderful and has touched my heart deeply.
~Patricia xx

I agree with Patricia, Lasca...this is so beautiful, warm and loving...whoever you wrote it for will treasure it, I'm sure
Love Chrissie x
I've not been here for a little while but hope to catch up with some of your writing.
