The stage of life is divided,
Perfectly even into three sections.
Standing in the audience you look to see
The different appearances of the stages of life.
Stage left, a beautiful life,
Beautiful house, brand new car, caring spouse.
Stage Middle, just living in neutral,
Always barely making it, just scraping by.
Stage Right, torment and suffering,
Pain, and Ridicule.
You have a decision to make, and though it seems simple,
It's the hardest you'll ever make.
You can stay where you are,
In neutral, just scraping by, average...
You can walk straight across to Stage Right,
The easiest to get to, but it's Hell on Earth.
Stage Left, the most magnificient of all,
You have to climb.
If you lose your hold and you fall,
You will be in limbo for the rest of your life,
But if you are strong enough,
You will reach paradise itself.
Wait, there's another decision,
Every step upward you take,
That's just a little bit closer for
The next person after you.
What is your decision?
What will you do?
It's your life.
Stand still, or try to climb?
